UAH Vaults To No. 12 In National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After posting another undefeated week in conference play and defeating then-No. 11 Christian Brothers in the process, the UAH men's basketball team jumped up to the No. 12 position in the latest edition of the NABC Division II Coaches Poll. The Chargers were ranked 15th a week ago.

Chargers Picked To Win Gulf South Conference

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Returning 10 starters – including both of its starting pitchers – from a squad that made it to the national championship game a season ago, the University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team has been selected as the favorite to win the Gulf South Conference in 2012, the league office announced Tuesday.

UAH Tabbed To Finish Sixth In Preseason GSC Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its 2012 Baseball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-Conference selections on Tuesday, as voted on by the league head coaches. The University of Alabama in Huntsville collected 21 points in the poll and was tabbed to finish sixth in the conference.

No. 15 Chargers Prevail Against No. 11 CBU

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – In a battle between two of the country's top teams, the No. 15 University of Alabama in Huntsville defeated No. 11 Christian Brothers in a Sunday afternoon contest at Spragins Hall behind the strength of the country's third triple-double this season. The 74-65 victory puts UAH atop the Gulf South Conference standings at 14-3 (5-1 GSC), and the Bucs fall to 15-3 (5-1 GSC).

Magette Breaks 33-Year-Old GSC Record

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – UAH men's basketball player Josh Magette etched his name into the Gulf South Conference record book on Sunday, becoming the league's all-time leader in assists while breaking a mark that had stood for 33 years. The senior registered 10 on the day to give him 745 for his career.
