Prep: Mark was a member of both cross country and track teams at Huntsville High. In 2006, he was 5A Track State Champion in the 3200m run, All-State in the 1600m. He was Metro Champion in the 3200m and 1600m. In fact, he was undefeated in the 3200m in 2006. Mark was All-Metro in the 800m, 1600m and 3200m in 2006. He was All-State in the 3200m and 1600m Metro Champion in 2005. As 2005 Cross Country State Champion, he was named Huntsville Times Cross Country Co-Runner of the Year. Mark was Cross Country City Champion in 2004-05, earning him Huntsville Track Club High School Runner of the Year honors. A four-year letterwinner, Mark was track team captain in 2005-06 and a member of the National Honor Roll 2004-06. He also was a member of the Huntsville High A-B Honor Roll all four years.
