Rayford wins 100m, 200m at APSU |

Jaion Rayford (above) led the Chargers at the APSU Spring Fling
Invitational, winning both the 100m and 200m. Rayford's winning times
were 11.14 and 22.75 respectively on a cold and windy day.
Also winning their events were Luke Beck in the Pole Vault, setting
a new outdoor school record with a clearance of 15'0". Rachel Joseph
won the 100m convincingly with a time of 12.71, and she anchored the
women's 4x100m relay (Latrice Johnson, Rebecca Hilt, Kimaya Johnson, and Joseph) to a win with a time of 48.59.
Allyson Pierce ran a personal best time in the 5000m as she pulled away
for the win on the final lap with a finish time of 19:21.14.
Parris Heilman had a break through performance in the 1500m, as he
improved his best time by over 10 seconds and finished with a time of
4:05.85. Nadia Araiinijad set personal bests in the Javelin and Shot
Put, with throw of 105'02" and 31'07.25" respectfully.
The Chargers will compete next at the Alabama Relays March 27-28.
