Rayford wins 100m, 200m at APSU PDF

Jaion Rayford (above) led the Chargers at the APSU Spring Fling Invitational, winning both the 100m and 200m.  Rayford's winning times were 11.14 and 22.75 respectively on a cold and windy day.
 
Also winning their events were Luke Beck in the Pole Vault, setting a new outdoor school record with a clearance of 15'0".  Rachel Joseph won the 100m convincingly with a time of 12.71, and she anchored the women's 4x100m relay (Latrice Johnson, Rebecca Hilt, Kimaya Johnson, and Joseph) to a win with a time of 48.59. Allyson Pierce ran a personal best time in the 5000m as she pulled away for the win on the final lap with a finish time of 19:21.14. 
 
Parris Heilman had a break through performance in the 1500m, as he improved his best time by over 10 seconds and finished with a time of 4:05.85. Nadia Araiinijad set personal bests in the Javelin and Shot Put, with throw of 105'02" and 31'07.25" respectfully.
 
The Chargers will compete next at the Alabama Relays March 27-28.
