Tuscaloosa - The Chargers had a very productive weekend at the

individual events.
Rebecca Hilt had a breakthrough race in the 400m as

in 56.23. Hilt is currently ranked 10th on the 400m national list. Latrice Johnson made her way on into the top 10 on the national list as
well in her best event, the 100m. She ran a time of 12.08, which
places her 9th nationally. Jeniffer Cherono found success in her first
attempt in the 3000m Steeplechase as she placed 3rd with a time of
11:12.70. That time ranks Cherono 14th on the national list.
For the men, Luke Beck raised the bar to over 16 feet in the Pole
Vault and came away with a clearance that currently ranks him 8th on the
national list. Beck improved his personal best vault by 3.5 inches and
set the new school record in the event at 16 feet, 3/4 inches. That
vault placed him third in the Alabama Relays Invitational Pole Vault.
