West Florida 3, UAH 0 (30-26, 30-13, 30-18)
Pensacola, Fla. - First place West Florida proved to be more than a
load to bear on Sunday, handing the UAH volleyball team a 30-26, 30-13,
30-18 loss. UWF remained unbeaten in the Gulf South Conference at 4-0
and improved to 19-2 overall, while the Lady Chargers fell to 1-4 and
7-16.
Junior hitter Kelly Ingram (Mt. Olive) led UAH with 10 kills and sophomore setter Yuki Kurihara (Hoover) finished with 24 assists.
The Lady Chargers nearly had as many errors as kills in the match. UAH
tallied 31 kills in the three games, but also had 28 errors. In two of
the three games, the Lady Chargers had more errors than kills.
UAH played from behind the entire match. The Lady Chargers led only
once, that coming in the third game when UAH held a brief 2-1 lead.
