HUNTSVILLE | After an exciting opening weekend at the VBC, the University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team will play host to the Alabama Hockey Club for an exhibition on Saturday at the Wilcoxon Ice Complex with puck drop slated for 6 p.m.
 
Price of admission to the game comes at 10 dollars for adults and five dollars for UAH students with ID and children under 12 years of age. Along with the admission to the game, all fans are welcome to "Skate with the Chargers" following the contest, with UAH students receiving free skate rental as part of their ticket purchase.
 
The Chargers last faced off with the Frozen Tide at the outset of the 2012-13 campaign, and UAH won both games by scores of 12-1 and 10-0. In the Oct. 6-7 series, Chad Brears scored a pair of goals in the opener, followed by Jack Prince's hat trick in the Saturday matchup. Alabama is coached by Mike Quenneville who played in 53 games for the Chargers from 1987-89.
 
UAH is coming off a series split this past weekend with Hockey East affiliate Connecticut at the VBC, with the visitors taking the opener 5-2 and the Blue and White earning a 5-2 victory in the finale. Sophomore Brennan Saulnier excelled in the season's first series with three goals and two assists for five points, and was awarded WCHA Player of the Week on Monday for his efforts.
