HUNTSVILLE | The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District Track & Field and Cross Country Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, was released on Tuesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's team was represented by Brydon Groves-Scott and Trevian Jenkins for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
 
Groves-Scott wrapped up another strong cross country season this past fall as an All-South Region and All-GSC performer while after finishing in the top 15 at both the South Regional and the GSC Championships. The junior also boasted the squad's leading times in the 3000 meter and 10000 meter during the outdoor campaign, and additionally earned All-South Region honors in the 10000 meter.
 
Jenkins finished his junior season as a First Team All-American with the Chargers 100 meter relay team, while additionally notching the eighth-fastest time in the 400 meter in the South Region with a program-record mark of 48.19.
 
First-team Academic All-District honorees – including Groves-Scott and Jenkins – advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.
