Prep: Kelly prepped at Bob Jones High where she earned numerous honors. As a senior, she was the 2008 Alabama North All-Star Team MVP. She helped lead Bob Jones to a 6A Alabama High School State Championship. She was a member of the 6A Area 16 All-Area and 6A Alabama State All-Tournament teams. In her junior season, she was selected 6A All-State second team, Birmingham News All-State Super Team Honorable Mention, 6A All-Area 16, and 6A State Runner-Up. As a sophomore, Kelly was a member of the USA Jr. Olympic 15 National All-Tournament team and participated in the NASA 151 USA Jr. Olympics. Academically, Kelly earned the USAA National English Merit Award, along with being a member of the National Honor Roll, National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society. In addition, Kelly was a member of the Bob Jones Athletic Leadership Council, Ambassador Member and Bob Jones Pride. She was also a state winner in the 2006 Alabama Penman Writing Contest in the short story category.
